Field Study to Deopani Durga Temple

Objectives: The primary aim of the field study is to provide students the opportunities for collecting data, observed place and person and to analyze the history of the place.
Summary of the programme:
A group of 35 students of Assamese Department of Tezpur College went to the Deopani Durga
Temple, situated at Golaghat district for a field study. Three teachers along with the HoD of the Department accompanied them to the destination and guided them to make the trip fruitful. The students talked with the Priest to know about the mythological significance of the temple. They also interact with some local dignateries to know the chronicles of this ancient temple. The students talked with the local shopkeepers and collected ideas about socio-cultural and economic condition of the area.
