The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Tezpur College is a Govt. of India sponsored public service programme under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. It provides an opportunity for the students to take part in various Govt. led community service activities and programmes. So through our NSS unit, students can get hand on experince in delivering community service.

At present, the NSS unit of Tezpur College has 100 numbers of Volunteers who are trained to understand their values of social and civic responsibilities. The unit attempts to establish meaningful linkages between "college campus and community" and "acknowledge and action". It is engaged in different programmes, especially,  village camps, blood donation camps, relief camps, health and sanitation drives, plantation programmes, adult eductaion programmes, awareness programmes, and so on.
