The Department of Botany, which is affiliated to Gauhati University, was established in the year 2023 with the introduction of Science Stream at Tezpur College. The Department has initiated the Four-year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP), offering major and minor courses with a student strength of 58 (23 major, 35 minor) in their first batch. The Department is currently running with 2 permanent faculty members from diverse fields of Plant Science, who are well skilled with modern ICT tools and impart quality education in both offline and online mode at the same time.
