Six students and Dr. Debojyoti Nath, Assistant prof. and HOD, Department of Physics, Tezpur College, Tezpur, participated in the Semiconductor Ecosystem: Awareness & Opportunities for Northeast India, a one-day workshop jointly organized by Jagiroad College, the VLSI Society of India, NEISED, and NIELIT, Guwahati, held on 25/10/2024 at Jagiroad College, Jagiroad.
The workshop also featured insightful discussions on the latest advancements in semiconductor technology and its impact on various industries. Experts from academia and industry shared their perspectives on India's growing role in the global semiconductor ecosystem. The main highlight of the workshop was a talk by Dr. Satya Gupta, the founder of the VLSI Society of India, on semiconductors and their applications. In addition to this, an interactive panel discussion was held on the opportunities within the semiconductor sector in India. Moreover, participants had the opportunity to engage in networking sessions, fostering collaborations and knowledge exchange among students, researchers, and professionals.
