Report on Interactive Session-cum-Tax Awareness Programme

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Tezpur College, in collaboration with the Office of the Income Tax Officer, Tezpur, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, successfully conducted an Interactive Session cum Tax Awareness Programme on 4th September 2025. The event aimed to enhance awareness among faculty members regarding income tax regulations and procedures. The invited speaker, Mr. Deb Anand, Income Tax Officer, Tezpur, addressed the gathering on the importance of income tax, procedures of filing returns, and recent provisions under the Income Tax Act. The session was highly interactive, with participants raising queries on tax exemptions, investments, various deductions and e-filing, which were effectively addressed by the speaker.
