  •  Students may opt any four elective Subjects for general course from the five elective subjects.
  •  Elective Subjects: BMT/FIN, FAC, BED, IFS, CAC.
  • Major Subjects; CAC, HRM, RMF (Any One).
  • BMT is compulsory for Major Students.

        

          COMBINATION NOT ALLOWED:

          1.  PhiIosophy and Elective Language with Geography

          2. TTM with Elective Languages

          3. TTM is not allowed with any Major Courses

          4. No Candidates can change his/her combination of subjects after admission

           BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (BBA)

           (i) ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY FOR ADMISSION

             As per the approved regulations of Gauhati University, a candidate who possesses a HS (10+2) or equivalent qualified in Arts, Science, Commerce or a Diploma in Engineering with minimum 40% marks in Aggregate from a recognized Board will be eligible for admission into the First Semester BBA Programme.

          (ii) EXAMINATION

                 (a) There will be 6 (six) examinations, one at the end of each semester. Each semester consists of 5 (five) papers. Duration of the semester period will be as follows: First, Third and Fifth semester:iuly to December.

Second, Fourth and Sixth Semester : January to June.

                (b) Each paper shall carry 100 marks, out of which 20 marks shall be allocated to internal evaluation. The minimum marks required for passing the examination shall be 40% both in written examination and internal

evaluation, in each paper separately and 50% in the aggregate, separately for each semester examination.

                (c) If a candidate fails to secure pass marks in a subject paper in the internal evaluation, he/she shall be debarred from appearing in the Term End Semester examination and he/she will have to seek re-admission into that semester when it so offered.

                (d) A failed candidate Is eligible to appear in a maximum of 2 back papers in Term End Semester examination, provided he/she has secured minimum 50% marks in the aggregate in the concerned Examination. A student will be allowed to clear six semesters in maximum 5 years. He/she will not be allowed to take more than three chances in any semester.

                (e) A candidate shall not be sent up for a semester examination if he/she has not attended at least 75% of the classes held for each subject including lectures, seminars, presentations, case nalysis etc.
